Through critical dialogue and fresh perspectives, we seek to illuminate the evolving ties between Greece and the United States. Recognizing a prevailing gap in public understanding despite assertions of the strongest-ever bilateral ties by policymakers, this initiative seeks to address this disparity.
With a commitment to the highest standards of integrity and objectivity, this series aims to deepen mutual understanding, counter misinformation, restore trust in politics and expertise, and strengthen bonds across the Atlantic. Our mission is to foster genuine dialogue that brings together experts, policymakers, students, and citizens alike to lay a foundation for lasting Greek-American relations.
Each episode will feature a dialogue between an American and a Greek expert/policy-maker, covering topics such as anti-Americanism, the evolution of the current “best relations ever” status, great power competition, Greece and the US, regional challenges, Ukraine, China, the impact of the US elections globally and on the region, and economic cooperation between the two nations.
The series aspires to be part of a broader research project on the Greek-American relations.
The project is led by Dr. Revecca Pedi, an Associate Professor at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece. With her dedication to cross-cultural engagement, Dr. Pedi brings her expertise in international relations to connect Greek and American voices.
This project is also a hands-on experience for students, who contribute to research, production, and promotion, gaining invaluable insights into Greek-American relations and the complexities of international diplomacy.
Recognized for its impact and potential, this project was awarded the IVLP Impact Award by the U.S. State Department, underscoring its dedication to fostering enduring Greek-American relations.
